Day of Trumpets
The First Sacred Day (Sign) of Fall
“Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for Signs and for seasons and for days and years…” Genesis 1:14
On The 1st Day of the 7th Lunar Month, Make a Joyful Loud Noise, (Teruah)!
“Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy (Qodesh) assembly; you shall do no servile work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets, (Teruah #8643).” Numbers 29:1; Numbers 10:10
The Hebrew word Teruah can be translated several different ways: Blowing a trumpet/horn/shofar, Shouting joyfully, Making a joyful Noise, a Blast or Tumult as an alarm for war or for rejoicing.
“Sing to Him a new, (Chadash #2319) song; Play skillfully with a joyful shout/noise, (Teruah).” Psalm 33:3
“O clap your hands, All peoples;
Shout (Teruah) to God with the voice of joy.” Psalm 47:1
“Shout joyfully to God, All the earth” Psalm 66:1
“Shout for joy (or make a joyful Noise), to YHVH, All the earth.” Psalm 100:1
Read Psalm 81
This is Yom Teruah in a nutshell
“Again YHVH spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “Speak to the sons (children) of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing horns, a Holy (Qodesh #6944) Assembly, (Miqra #4744). 25 ‘You shall not do any servile work, but you shall present an offering by fire to YHVH.” Leviticus 23:24-25
That’s it, don’t add to it, and don’t take away from it; on the Seventh New, (Chadash #2319) Moon, we are to cease from our own work. Blow our horns, and make a joyful noise, (Teruah) or alarm, as a reminder, a set apart (Holy) Assembly/Reading/Rehearsal, (Miqra #4744).
Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement, is only 10 days away, repent/ turn to the only Way that leads to (lasting/spiritual) Life.
Now, for Anyone Who Noticed, Those Who Keep The Feasts are Called, “The Children of Israel“
See, Who is Israel? for more information. Someday I hope to combine these two…
Are You Israel?
The Creator of the Universe revealed very specific instructions to Moses, in writing. Although there is evidence these instructions were known before they were written down, these Teachings/Instructions/Commands are called the Torah: a Light directing us in “The Way of Truth and Life.”
“In the beginning was the Word, (Torah) and the Word (Torah) was with God, and the Word, (Torah) was God.” John 1:1; Genesis 1:1; Proverbs 8:22-31; Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 1:10; Hebrews 7:3; Hebrews 13:8; Revelation 22:13…
The Oneness of God and The Oneness of His Assembly, Israel
Our Unseen Creator is One. He is Undivided, Impartial, He does not show favoritism; Deuteronomy 6:4; Deuteronomy 10:17 Acts 10:34; Deuteronomy 1:17. His Spirit and Body are One; Ephesians 4:4; Romans 12:4;1 Corinthians 10:17; Ephesians 2:16, If we are obediently faithful to His Word, then we are joined to the children of Israel. This Oneness is called a mystery because it’s spiritual.
“This Mystery is that through the Good News the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the Body, and fellow partakers of the Promise (Eternal Life on the New Earth) in Y’shua Messiah/Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 3:6
He calls His Assembly Israel, because the meaning of Israel is: one who “struggles with God and with man and Prevails/Overcomes/Victorious,” Genesis 32:28
To the one who is Victorious, I will grant the right to eat of the tree of life in the paradise of God. Revelation 2:7
Israel is Not a Religion, Israel is The Faithful, Prevailing, Remnant
*Y’shua did not found any new religion. He was against the religious experts who divided themselves into different sects and added their own man-made, legalistic, laws to His Torah.
It was man who changed Sabbath to Sunday, added pagan holidays, claims our Creator’s Perfect, Eternal Torah is old and replaced by the New, Abolished, Corrupted, and needing changes that intentionally divide from YHVH’s (our Eternal Creator) only Assembly/body/children of Israel.
God fearing people, still blindly elevate these religious experts. When we start asking and listening to His Spirit, and His Torah is Spiritual, Romans 7:14. We will see it is His Spirit who guides us into All Truth, John 16:13
YHVH’s Sacred Days are Signs, Reminders and Rehearsals for All
Foreshadowed by the Torah and Prophets, Israel’s physical slavery in Egypt was a picture of mankind’s greater Spiritual Exodus from their oppression to satan, (adversary and accuser).
We All Need to Know YHVH’s Sacred Days
“These are the appointed times of YHVH, holy Assemblies which you shall proclaim at the times appointed for them.” Leviticus 23:4
It was a mixed multitude who left Egypt. Exodus 12:38. Comprised of God-fearing Egyptians, sojourners, foreigner and All who joined themselves to Israel by keeping the instructions/commandments of YHVH, just as it is now, Ephesians 2:19; 1 John 2:3 .
A Physical Picture of Spiritual Deliverance/Salvation
Y’shua, His full Name, Y’hoshua, meaning YHVH’s salvation, can be found throughout the TaNaK, (the Hebrew acronym for Torah, Prophets, Nevi’im and Writings, Ketuvim).
All first century Prophets and Writings were checked to the TaNaK to see if their words were True or False, Acts 17:11.
Everything Y’shua did was prophesied before it was fulfilled. He knew He would lay down His temporary life on the Sacred Day of Passover as the Lamb of YHVH.
He knew He would rise to resurrected Life on the, pre-appointed, Third sacred Day of First Fruits.
This is our hope, we also know if we keep His Teachings (Torah), we are apart of His resurrected Body, 1 John 2:6. He explained this Spiritual Unity as being One with Him as He is One with The Father, John 10:30; Deuteronomy 6:4.
Until Heaven and Earth Pass Away Hasn’t Happened Yet
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law, (Torah) or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law (Torah) until everything is accomplished”..., Matthew 5:18
When something Awesome happens it will happen on one of YHVH’s pre-appointed days.
No one knows when these rehearsals will be fulfilled but we know to be prepared!
