The Answer Made the Religious Leaders, “Gnash Their Teeth.”

Image result for image of a prideful man trying to get through a narrow door “Gnashing Teeth” is a Metaphor Revealing Anger.

“The wicked (those who stray from the Path of Life) will see it and be angry, (kaas #3707) He will gnash his teeth, (out of anger) and wither away, (masas #4549);  The greed, (taavah #8378) of the wicked will perish, (abad #6).” Psalm 112:10

“There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the Kingdom of God, but you yourselves (the arrogant) are thrown out.” Luke 13:28; Matthew 8:12; Matthew 22:13; Matthew 25:30

“The older son became angry and refused to go in. So his father came out and pleaded with him.” Luke 15:28

Who, did Y’hoshua’s (Jesus’) say, would be “thrown out from the Kingdom of God?”  Why was the older son so angry he refused to go into his Father’s banquet?  These 1st Century religious leaders knew He was referring to them, Matthew 21:45.

Only The Humble Will Inherit Life after Death in God’s Kingdom

“Truly I tell you, He (Y’hoshua) said, “unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3
“Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.”  Matthew 18:4

Y’hoshua explains the mystery of Spiritual Life in His Kingdom with physical examples;

“Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.”  John 3:7

We must be born Spiritually to enter Spiritual Life.  Yet still today, Jewish religious leaders await the physical Messiah, (anointed King) who will reign in a physical Temple and rule the nations, (goyim) in a physical Kingdom on the physical earth, (eretz).  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messiah_in_Judaism.

“Jesus (Y’hoshua) answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world; if it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. But now, My Kingdom is not of this realm.” John 18:36; John 2:21

Was Y’hoshua, (Jesus) Jewish?

Y’hoshua was prophesied to come through a specific lineage, namely, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob/Israel, Judah… (Judah, being the origin of the term Jewish).  The confusion between Israel and Judah began when the two divided approximately 930 B.C..  The ten Northern tribes of Israel were conquered by the Assyrians and eventually assimilated into the nations.  Judah was later conquered by the Babylonians but returned from their captivity 70 years later, just as prophesied, Jeremiah 25:12

With this in mind, Yes, Y’housha came through the line of Judah.  Was His religion Jewish?  All opinions aside, lets take a look at Y’hoshua’s own words to the Jewish religious leaders:

Matthew 23

He told the people to listen to their religious leaders when they read the Torah in Moses seat, but He warned them not to do what they do.  Why?  He called them “hypocrites,” “blind guides,” who were like “white-washed tombs, beautiful on the outside but dead on the inside.”  They were like “snakes, a brood of vipers, full of greed and self-indulgence, everything they did was to be seen.  They liked the most important seats and loved to be greeted with honor and respect.  They slammed the door of the Kingdom of God in peoples faces, adding heavy burdens, and neglecting Justice, Mercy and Faithfulness.”

All that to say, Y’hoshua didn’t follow the Jewish religious leaders.  These “Torah experts” were far too proud to see the Torah’s bigger, Spiritual, picture of God’s Kingdom.

The Kingdom of God is Greater Than Any Religion.

Y’hoshua used physical examples to describe spiritual Truth.  The narrow gate and the eye of the needle show us nothing physical will enter the Kingdom of God.

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.” Matthew 7:13

“Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:24

Jerusalem has a large gate with a small opening called the eye of the needle.

Pride, arrogance and greed are physical and will not be able to go through the narrow way.

Flesh and Blood Can Not Enter the Kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 15:50

The Torah, five books of Moses, and the Prophets foretold Y’hoshua, the Promised “Seed,” the Messiah, the Anointed, Son of God.  Luke 24:27; John 5:39John 5:46; Genesis 12:3…

Unseen, Eternal or Spiritual mysteries are revealed metaphorically, in Parables, which are concrete, literal examples, revealing abstract or Spiritual Truth.  The arrogant heart is called hard, uncircumcised and covered with a metaphorical veil, 2 Corinthians 3:16; Ezekiel 44:7; Isaiah 25:7.   Only those in Messiah are given eyes and ears to perceive the Spiritual mystery of The Good News, Psalm 78:2;  Matthew 13:35; 1 Corinthians 2:92 Corinthians 3:14; 2 Corinthians 4:3Isaiah 64:4.

Life after Death Was Promised To Mankind From the Beginning

The Good News, or Blessing, of our renewed Spiritual Life, was given along with the Curse of death.  The Promised “Seed,” who would Bless All the people of the earth, can be traced from Adam and Eve, to Abraham and right to Y’hoshua, (YHVH’s Salvation).

“And I will put enmity Between you (the serpent) and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed, (Messiah);  He shall bruise you (the serpent) on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.” Genesis 3:15; Galatians 3:16…

“And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse.  And in you All the families, of the earth will be blessed. Genesis 12:3Genesis 28:14Acts 3:25Galatians 3:8…

You are Heirs of the Promise, of Life after Death, if You are In Messiah

Galatians 3:29Ephesians 3:6Hebrews 6:17Acts 3:25; Acts 2:39

What does it look like to be, “In Messiah?”  Here are three physical examples; 1.  we are given a crown of Life.  2.  Our names are written in the Book of Life.  3.   We will be clothed in white.  “Clothe yourselves with Y’hoshua Messiah” Romans 13:14.  He gives us “Robes of Righteousness/Salvation” and refers to them as “Wedding Garments.”

Image result for Image of Revelation 3:5Image result for image of cartoon the Book of Life and White Linen garment

When Adam and Eve rebelled against God, the consequence was death.  They realized they were naked because they had lost this covering.  God made them temporary garments of animal skins and He also made sure they could not eat from the Tree of Life and live that way forever, Genesis 2:25Genesis 3:21; Genesis 3:22.

“I will rejoice greatly in YHVH, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of Salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of Righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10; Matthew 22:12Revelation 3:5; Revelation 7:14Revelation 16:15…

In Adam All Die, but in Messiah All will be Made Alive.

1 Corinthians 15:221 Corinthians 15:45

This is were it becomes important to know the meaning of the name Israel, and why those in “Spiritual Israel” are called Prevailers, Victorious, Triumphant, Overcomers.

The Promised Seed of the women metaphorically crushes the serpents (satan’s) head, Genesis 3:15.  Her Seed is Victorious, and Women don’t have seeds, so this is refers to a miraculous birth and a Spiritual Victory.

“The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law Curse.” 1 Corinthians 15:56

It is by Y’hoshua’s death and resurrection, we also Prevail, in Spiritual Israel.  Then, and only then, will we be granted the right to eat from the Tree of Life and Live forever, Revelation 2:11Revelation 12:11

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches assemblies. To the one who is Victorious, (Israel) I will grant the right to eat of the tree of Life in the paradise of God.” Revelation 2:7

Why Doesn’t My Rabbi, Priest, Pastor or Imam Teach This?

“You are the Christ/Messiah, the Son of the Living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah!  For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven.” Matthew 16:17

Because Spiritual Truth is revealed to us by God’s Spirit, and His Word is Spiritual; Romans 7:14John 16:13John 14:17John 14:26…

The Religious leaders, of Y’hoshua’s time on earth, searched the Scriptures to gain Life after death but even after hearing Him say, “these are the Words that testify about Me,” they refused the Life-Giver, John 5:39; John 5:40.

Religious leaders aren’t the only ones who get puffed up by knowledge, 1 Corinthians 8:1.  We all form our opinions according to what we’ve heard, seen, tasted, touched or smelled.  Opinions automatically make us think we are right and the others are wrong.  This is the reason we must All humble ourselves, becoming like little children who have the ability to ask, and seek wholeheartedly, and then we are promised to find God’s Spirit, Matthew 7:7Deuteronomy 4:29.

Seek The Spiritual Life-Giver, Not A Dead Religion

Israel is not a Jewish Religion.  The “Assembly of Israel” was not replaced by the Catholic or Protestant “Church.”  Islam, Mormonism and all the others who claim to have new revelations from God, have no concept of Spiritual Israel.

We must learn to wean ourselves from the physical bottles of religion and ask the Spiritual Life-Giver to give us eyes and ears to perceive His Spiritual Kingdom for ourselves.  Only then will we understand His perfect purpose in setting apart a specific, physical lineage that gave birth to the promised Seed/Son/Messiah, “Spiritual Israel.”

Will You Inherit Life after Death?

Countless people have died without understanding this Spiritual mystery.  Needless to say, our understanding has nothing to do with God’s indescribable ability.  I have peace in knowing He doesn’t want anyone to perish, 2 Peter 3:9,

And I trust in His promise that there will be a day when every eye will see, Revelation 1:7

If You Don’t Understand Israel, You Don’t Understand The Good News.

The first time we hear the name Israel is right after Jacob, Abraham’s grandson, wrestles all night with a man/God, and he Prevails.   Genesis 32:24; Genesis 32:25; Genesis 32:26.

He said, “Your name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel; for you have persevered, (sarah #8280) with God and with men and have Prevailed, (yakol #3201).Genesis 32:28.

God tells Jacob the meaning of his new name, Israel, because you have persevered with God and with men and Prevailed.”  It is important to understand the meaning of the name Israel in order to connect its synonyms throughout the Bible; Victory, Conquerors, Overcome, Triumphant, Reign, Succeed, from Genesis 3:15 to Revelation 12:11.

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the Victory through our Lord, Jesus Christ, (Y’hoshua Messiah) 1 Corinthians 15:57

“No, in all these things we are more than Conquerors through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37
“because everyone born of God Overcomes the world.  And this is the Victory that has Overcome the world: our faith.” 1 John 5:4

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Assembly (Israel). To the one who Prevails/Overcomes/Conquers/Triumphs/is Victorious, I will grant the right to eat of the Tree of Life in the paradise of God.” Revelation 2:7

God Creates “Physical” Israel to Reveal “Spiritual” Israel

Open my eyes, that I may behold Wonderful things from Your Torah.” Psalm 119:18

Spiritual blindness remains on those under the physical curse of sin and death, Deuteronomy 27:26 ; Psalm 119:21Jeremiah 11:3Galatians 3:10.  “But Blessed are your eyes” and your ears when you perceive God’s Spiritual redemption that came through His Living Word, (Y’hoshua); Hebrews 4:12; Ephesians 6:17Romans 7:14; Galatians 3:14; John 1:1.

“But Blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.” Matthew 13:16

“Yet to this day YHVH has not given you a heart to know, nor eyes to see, nor ears to hear.” Deuteronomy 29:4

“This is why I (Y’hoshua) speak to them in parables: ‘Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.” Matthew 13:13

“All Nations Will Be Blessed Through You.

This is The Good News, “All Nations Will Be Blessed Through You.”  May you be blessed to perceive this Spiritual mystery that has been revealed through the “Seed” of Israel.

Jacob, now called Israel, like his father Isaac and his grandfather Abraham, all receive the same, very unique, promise, “All nations (goyim) will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:3 Genesis 26:4Genesis 28:14.

*Notice the Hebrew word, goyim #1471, it is not an ethnic or religious term, All means All.

Hence Jacob’s name change begets a Holy, (Set Apart) Nation/People, (Goy #1471) to YHVH, (He Exists).

Israel was holy to YHVH, The first of His harvest. All who ate of it became guilty; evil came upon them,” declares YHVH” Jeremiah 2:3

The Good News Came Through Abraham’s Seed/Offspring

“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid! For behold, I bring you Good News of great joy that will be for All the peopleLuke 2:10

The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the gentiles (goyim) by faith, and foretold the Gospel/the Good News to Abraham: “All Nations, (Goyim) will be blessed through you.” Galatians 3:8

Abraham did not receive one foot of the promised physical land, Acts 7:5; Genesis 13:15  He foresaw the Spiritual promise of the Good News; “All nations will be blessed through you.

God foretold Abraham his descendants would be strangers in a land not their own, and they will be enslaved and oppressed 400 years.  Then God would judge the nation they served and afterward they would come out with great possessions.  Genesis 15:13

This all happened just as God prophesied:  Abraham’s grandson, Israel, moved his small clan of 70 people to Egypt because of the great famine.  His people were eventually oppressed by the new Pharaoh, and 400 years later, like a long labor, the nation of Israel was delivered. (see the book of Exodus)

This is Why Israel is Called, “My Son

“Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says YHVH, “Israel is My SonMy Firstborn.” Exodus 4:22; Jeremiah 31:9

Israel had twelve sons who became the twelve tribes of Israel.  His favored son, Joseph, was sold into slavery by his half brothers when he was 17 years old.  Joseph ended up in Egypt, misunderstood and unjustly imprisoned until he was 30 years old.  After interpreting the Pharaoh’s dream Joseph was appointed second in command of all Egypt.  He was also given an Egyptian wife and they have two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

The great famine, as revealed in Pharaoh’s dream, brings Joseph’s family, Israel, to Egypt in search of grain.  Israel consisted of 70 people who were welcomed to settle in the land of Goshen.  The next generation brought a new Pharaoh who oppressed the Israelite’s, just as God foretold Abraham, they were enslaved for 400 years.

Out of Affliction God Brought Forth His Spiritual Promise.

“I will surely tell of the decree of YHVH: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You (brought you forth).” Psalm 2:7

I also shall make him My Firstborn, The highest of the kings of the earth.” Psalm 89:27

“But now, YHVH, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.” Isaiah 64:8

“When Israel was a youth I loved him, And out of Egypt I called My Son.” Hosea 11:1

This fulfilled what the Lord (YHVH) had spoken through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”Matthew 2:15

Y’hoshua, (Jesus) is Called “My Son.”

(Y’hoshua means YHVH’s Salvation in Hebrew, Y’shua is Aramaic, Jesus is English)

“And a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!” Matthew 3:17;Mark 1:11; Mark 9:7 Luke 3:22Luke 9:35; John 3:16

“For to which of the angels did God ever say: “You are my Son; today I have become Your Father”?  Or again: “I will be His Father, and He will be My Son”?  Hebrews 1:5; Psalm 2:7

He has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus (Y’hoshua). As it is written in the second Psalm: ‘You are My Son, today I have become Your Father.’ Acts 13:33

Israel Was Created to Reveal God’s Anointed Seed, Y’hoshua.

“The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed.  The Scripture does not say, “and to seeds,” meaning many, but “and to your Seed,”meaning One, who is Messiah/Christ.”  Galatians 3:16; Genesis 3:15

In your Seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” Genesis 22:18

Still a Veil Covers Their Hearts

“And even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.  But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, (YHVH’s Salvation), the veil is taken away.” 2 Corinthians 3:152 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 4:18Isaiah 25:7…

Abraham was given the promise of the Seed who would bless All nations, 430 years before Moses wrote the Torah.  The Torah records the same promise of a Seed given to Adam and Eve 2,000 years earlier, Genesis 3:15.  Y’hoshua was born, 4,000 years later and explained, Moses wrote about Him, John 5:46; Luke 24:27

“What I mean is this: The Law (Moses) that came four hundred thirty years later does not revoke the covenant previously established by God, so as to cancel the promise.” Galatians 3:17

Not Understanding The Good News is the Cause of Religious Divisions

The point being, the world’s religious divisions are proof the veil remains.  When the promised Seed came it was no longer necessary to set apart the lineage he would come through.

There is neither Jew (Judean) nor Greek, (Gentile) slave nor free, male nor female, for you are All One in Messiah Y’hoshua, (Christ Jesus).   And if you belong to Messiah/Christ, then you are Abraham’s Seed and heirs according to the Promise. Galatians 3:28Galatians 3:29

“And this is the Promise that He (YHVH) Himself made to us: Eternal Life.” 1 John 2:25

For my eyes have seen Your Salvationwhich You have prepared in the sight of All people, a Light for revelation to the Gentiles (Goyim) and for glory to Your people Israel.”  Luke 2:30Luke 2:31Luke 2:32Acts 13:47; Isaiah 42:6Isaiah 49:6

Is Y’hoshua (Jesus) YHVH?

What does the Bible have to say about the Creator of the universe?

Who Is YHVH?

YHVH means, He Is/He Exists/He Was, Is and Always Will Be.  When God revealed His Name to Moses He said it was His Name forever, (Olam #5769), Exodus 3:14,15.  He also defined Himself as being ONE, (Echad #).

Hear, O Israel!  YHVH is our God, YHVH is One!  Deuteronomy 6:4

Who is Israel?

Israel means, to contend with God and with men and prevail, victoriously, Genesis 32:28.  If you have the mind-set that “Israel” is synonymous with the “Jewish religion” I hope you will still try to understand what I’m about to write.

Beginning with the name Israel, first given to Jacob, who like his father Isaac and his grandfather Abraham, were given the same promise, “in you All people of the earth would be blessed,” Genesis 12:31; Genesis 22:18; Genesis 26:4; Genesis 28:14.

Note, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were not Jewish, (Goy #1471) and the promise that would come through them would bless All people/Goy.

Israel is called YHVH’s Firstborn, Exodus 4:22.  Y’hoshua, Is the Firstborn of All creation, Colossians 1:15; Luke 2:23; Numbers 3:13.  What does the Firstborn receive?   A Double Portion, Deuteronomy 21:17; Isaiah 61:7.  Like Job who received double, Job 42:10.

In Y’hoshua, we are Spiritual Israel and heirs to the promise given to Abraham, Galatians 3:29.

Y’hoshua (Jesus) Blessed All People With Life

Jacob’s fourth son was named Judah, meaning Praise and Judah’s descendants are referred to as Jews.  The promised Seed/Offspring/Messiah, (Anointed) was prophesied to come through the lineage of Judah.

Jesus’ Hebrew name, Y’hoshua, means YHVH’s Salvation.  He is The Word from the beginning, The First and The Last, The I Am, Who Is, Was and Always will be, His Name forever, Exodus 3:15; Proverbs 3:19; John 1:1-14; 8:58

The Shema is The Most Important Commandment

Y’hoshua taught the Shema was the most important command;

“Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in the Law (Torah)?” Jesus declared, “‘Love the Lord (YHVH) your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ Matthew 22:37; Mark 12:30; Luke 10:27; Deuteronomy 6:5

Unlike today, when Y’hoshua spoke the above words, everyone would have recognized The Shema in its entirety.  They wrote them on their doorposts, taught it to their children, recited it when they woke up, sat in their homes, walked outside and before they slept, Deuteronomy 6:7.

With this knowledge, YHVH is our God, YHVH is One, we ask the next question.

“You believe that God is One. Good for you! Even the demons (God’s adversaries) believe that, and shudder! James 2:19

Is Y’hoshua YHVH?

“Truly, truly, I tell you, Jesus declared, “before Abraham was born, I Am!” John 8:58

The religious leaders picked up stones to stone Y’hoshua because when He said, I Am, He was saying He is YHVH.

God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.'” Exodus 3:14

Is Y’hoshua The Creator of The Universe?

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1

“YHVH by Wisdom founded the earth, By Understanding He established the heavens.” Proverbs 3:19
“The YHVH possessed me, (Wisdom) at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old.” Proverbs 8:22

“You alone are YHVH.  You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them And the heavenly host bows down before You.” Nehemiah 9:6

For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16

“Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made.” John 1:3

“He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him.” John 1:10

The Eternal Son is Prophesied to Have The Authority of God

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government, (rule/dominion) will rest on His shoulders; And His Name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

“But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity.” Micah 5:2

For to which of the angels did God ever say: “You are my Son; today I have become Your Father”? Or again: “I will be His Father, and He will be My Son”? Hebrews 1:5; Psalm 2:7

Y’hoshua Has The Authority of YHVH

Jesus answered,“Destroy this temple, (His body) and in three days I will raise it up again.John 2:19

“Thomas replied, My Lord, (YHVH) and my God!” John 20:28

“Why do you call Me good?  Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone. Luke 18:19

Revelation of Y’hoshua Reveals He is YHVH

“John, To the seven Assemblies in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from Him who Is and Was and Is to come, and from the seven fold Spirit before His throne,” Revelation 1:4

“I am the Alpha (Aleph) and the Omega (Tav)” says YHVH God, who Is and Was and Is to come — the AlmightyRevelation 1:8

I am the First and the Last, the Living One. I was dead, and behold, now I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of Death and of Hades…Revelation 1:17 ; Revelation 1:18

“To the angel of the Assembly in Smyrna write: These are the words of the First and the Last, who died and returned to life.” Revelation 2:8

“And He told me, “It is done! I am the Alpha (Aleph) and the Omega (Tav) the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give freely from the spring of the water of life.” Revelation 21:6

“I Am the Alpha (Aleph) and the Omega (Tav) the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Revelation 22:13

Isaiah Confirms Y’hoshua is YHVH

“Who has performed and accomplished it, Calling forth the generations from the beginning? ‘I, YHVH, am the First, and with the Last. I am He.'” Isaiah 41:4

“Thus says YHVH the King of Israel and his Redeemer, YHVH of hosts: ‘I Am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me.” Isaiah 44:6

“Listen to Me, O Jacob, even Israel whom I called; I Am He, I Am the First, I Am also the Last.” Isaiah 48:12

“A voice is calling, “Clear the way for YHVH in the wilderness; Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.” Isaiah 40:3

Y’hoshua Did Come in the Name of YHVH, Psalm 118:26.

———————————————————————————————————–

*LORD replaced the Name YHVH

As you may have noticed, I replace YHVH every time I see LORD.  YHVH has been replaced by LORD over 6,380 times because of a false superstition.  Changing it back makes it easier to connect the New Testament verses referring to Y’hoshua as YHVH.

“This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for YHVH make straight paths for Him.’” Matthew 3:3; Mark 1:3Luke 3:4

The Ambiguous Meaning of Salvation

If you live in the Western world you’ve probably been asked religious questions like, “are you saved?” and “when did you receive your salvation?”  These questions were like grains of irritation to me.  Like grains of sand that had made their way into the meat of an oyster shell, they can eventually become our most beautiful pearls.

It was my lack of understanding that kept me silently frustrated when I heard the phrase, “I’m saved.”  It just didn’t set right that salvation could sound like a box we’d checked off after our first confession, when we said,  “I believe and accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior,” before getting baptized.saved

Although I Understand These Are The Biblical Answers to The Question;

“What Must I Do To Be Saved?

Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:31

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:16

“if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  Romans 10:9

Salvation Revealed In The Original Hebrew Scriptures

Thanks to the impartial promise of our Creator’s Word, those who seek Him do find Him, Deuteronomy 4:29;   Matthew 7:7.   And these days He even guides us in the search engines of Google.  The day I discovered the Hebrew Lexicon at Biblehub.com, I knew it was an answer to my prayer for greater understanding.

For instance, it helped me realize how word choices, culture and religious bias have their influence on translation.

When there are several English word equivalents, used interchangeably for the same Hebrew word, readers lose their cues to connect that word or phrase in other passages.

All translation require conjecture in order to convey meaning, especially when an ancient expression doesn’t exist or carry over into another language.

Translating means changing, no matter how closely one is able to transfer a meaning and modify word syntax into the readable form of another language.

Today everyone has access to the Hebrew lexicon.  Anyone, who has the desire to know and understand the original Hebrew Scriptures, can begin prayerfully meditating on their Word meanings and making the Spiritual connections that evade translation, Romans 7:14.

YHVH’s (He Exists) is Salvation

The Hebrew word translated into English as Salvation is Yeshuah.  It comes from the root Yasha, the same root in the name Yehoshua, (Jesus) which means, YHVH + Yasha, He Exists is Salvation.

Matthew 1:21

Matthew 1:21

Yasha and its different forms can be translated:  Deliverance, Victory, to Avenge, Preservation, Prosperity, Help, Rescue, Safety, Security, to Save, Salvation…

Salvation Always Was “The Good News”

“May Your Merciful Loving Kindnesses, (Chesed #2617a from Chasad) also come to me, YHVH,(He Exists) Your Salvation, (Teshuah #8668 from Yasha) according to Your Word, (Imrah #559 from Amar).  Psalm 119:41

“How lovely on the mountains Are the feet of him who brings Good News, Who announces peace And brings Good News of happiness, Who announces Salvation, And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7Romans 10:15

The Spirit of The Lord YHVH, (HeExists) is upon me, Because YHVH has anointed me To bring good news to the humble/afflicted, (anav #6035); He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty/release, (deror #1865) to captives And freedom to prisoners; Isaiah 61:1

Y’shua, the shortened form of Y’hoshua, explained all that was written about Himself in the Scriptures.  The Scriptures He was referring to were called Moses, (Torah) the Prophets and Writings.  In Hebrew these words form the acronym T.N.K, pronounced, TaNaK.   Today we call The Scriptures, The “Old” Testament.

“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all The Scriptures (The Tanak) about Himself.” Luke 24:27

Promised From The Beginning

“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise/overwhelm, (shuph #7779) you on the head, And you shall bruise/overwhelm him on the heel.” Genesis 3:15

Looking at Genesis 3:15 with ancient Hebrew symbolism we see more than the curse or the fate that will come to the serpent, (representing satan, YHVH’s adversary).  This is a prophecy, a promise of what will happen, spoken to the serpent and his seed or offspring, meaning all who are adversary’s of YHVH.

Notice the words, “you,” and “your” are addressing the serpent, (satan).  Their will be enmity, (ebah #342) between your seed, (satan) and the woman and her Seed, (children of YHVH).

“And the dragon, (serpent) was enraged at the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony, (word) of Jesus, (Salvation)” Revelation 12:17

The Victory Stance!

The Seed of the woman will,  “overwhelm the head of the serpent.” Can you envision this ancient Hebrew idiom of a triumphant king, victoriously standing with his foot on the head of His enemy?

“The God of Peace will soon crush satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.” Romans 16:20

This symbolism of Victory even carries over into Greek and English!

“YHVH your God is in your midst, A Victorious/Savior, (Yasha #3467) warrior/prevailer, (gibbor #1368).  He will exult over you with joy, He will be silent/rest in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.” Zephaniah 3:17

Victory Over Satan Is Salvation

Adam and Eve, Cain and Able, Noah, Abraham, Moses and King David, to name a few, all died believing in their Salvation, the promise of the Victorious Seed.

All these people died in faith, without having received the things they were promised.” Hebrews 11:13

Today we can look back on all the Scriptural prophecies of the promised Seed who would bless All peoples of the earth, Genesis 22:18 and know that Seed is Y’hoshua, (YHVH’s Salvation).

WordBecameFlesh1

“You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess eternal life. These are the very words that testify about Me,” John 5:39

Y’hoshua is the Word, John 1:1.  The Word became flesh and dwelt with us, John 1:14.  He overcame every test of satan, victoriously conquering death, He purposely resurrected to lasting Life on the third day of First-Fruits, assuring us the rest of the harvest would also be blessed.  (See The Promise of The Seed Who Would Bless All Nations/People).

Victory over satan, (also known as our evil inclination) has been the true meaning of salvation/release/freedom/victory since Cain was warned that it would master him if he didn’t master it, Genesis 4:7

“Do not be like Cain, who belonged to, (mastered by) the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his own deeds were evil, while those of his brother were righteous.” 1 John 3:12.

All people have been separated from the Spirit of their Creator by their iniquitiesRomans 3:23, and All people are in need of Salvation/Life, because Death is separation.

“But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.”  Isaiah 59:2.

He Brings Salvation At His Second Coming

“so also Christ, (Messiah) was offered once to bear the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him.” Hebrews 9:28

Dead People Can’t Eat From The Tree Of Life

YHVH, in His Mercy, made sure Adam and Eve did not eat from the Tree of Life in their fallen state and live in death forever.

Then YHVH God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever…” Genesis 3:22,23.

God’s Merciful Compassion makes us alive, (born again) through/in Christ/Messiah, even when we were dead, (separated) in our trespasses/iniquities/sin.  It is by grace/His favor you have been saved, (from sin and death)! Ephesians 2:5; Colossians 2:13; Ephesians 5:14Isaiah 26:19

Righteousness Is The Beautiful Pearl of Salvation

Whether we understand or not, mankind’s freedom from death, (sin) equals New Spiritual Life/Righteousness.  An ancient Hebrew illustration for “New Life,” is a “Clean Robe,”  Our outer covering represent “our actions.”  This is revealed in the following verse:

She, (The Bride) was given clothing of fine linen,” linen bright and pure. For the fine linen she wears is the righteous acts of the saints/the set apart/holy. Revelation 19:8.

Before our “New Life,” (when we were dead in our sin) and even our righteous actions were like, “Filthy Rags,” Isaiah 64:6;  Zechariah 3:3.

Righteous acts, is the Hebrew word, Tzedakah #6666.  This is the hidden pearl that has always been, still is and will be, The only Way to Lasting Life

“In the Way of Righteousness, (Tzedakah) is Life, And in its pathway there is no death.” Proverbs 12:28

“Blessed are those who wash their robes, (the victorious) so that they may have the right to the Tree of Life and may enter the city by its gates.” Revelation 22:14

“To the one who is Victorious, (those who acted right) I will grant the right to eat of the Tree of Life in the paradise of God.”  Revelation 2:7

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the Victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! (YHVH our Salvation, the Messiah!) 1 Corinthians 15:57

To Be Clothed in His Righteousness Is Life

So now when I hear someone say, “I’m saved,”  I understand why today’s religious lingo has never been a pre-requisite for Salvation.  People have been dying with their hope in the Creator’s promise since the beginning, long before our language and religious divisions.

We know, “God is One.”  There is no division in His Spirit.  Those who bear the glory of “His Name,” are called His children.  His children are those who walk in Freedom from their bondage to sin and death.  His Torah has always been The Way to Truth and Life.

Y’hoshua revealed, He is The Way, The Truth and The Life, John 14:6,  and He gave All peoples very clear instructions to, “follow Him,” John 12:26.

“Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus, (Y’shua) walked.  Beloved, I am not writing you a new commandment, but an old one, which you have had from the beginning.” 1 John 2:6.

“This is the message you have heard from the beginning:  We should love one another. 1 John 3:11

We know that we have passed from death to Life, because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.” 1 John 3:14

The Way of Life Is Righteousness, Which Is Summed Up As Love

Righteousness is Who He Is, it is our Creator’s Character and it describes the Attributes of those who walk in the way that leads to Life.  Man is able to come up with countless definitions for righteousness but Y’shua summed it up simply by quoting these two commands from Torah:

“‘Love YHVH your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.’ Deuteronomy 6:4,5.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  Leviticus 19:18.  All the Torah and the Prophets depend/hang on these two commandments.”… Matthew 22:37; Matthew 22:40

“The commandments “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and any other commandments, are summed up in this one decree: “Love your neighbor (one another) as yourself.” Love does no wrong to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law, (Torah) Romans 13:10; Leviticus 19:18

Those who are not clothed in the Righteousness of our Creator’s Love do not have Life.

“keep yourselves in the Love, (Righteousness), of God as you await the Mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, (YHVH’s Salvation, the Messiah) to bring you eternal LifeJude 1:21

“This is My Name Forever, (le’Olam #5769) and this is My Remembrance, (Zeker #2143) to all generations/all time,” Exodus 3:15

“Therefore behold, I am going to make them, (Goy #1471) know– This time I will make them know My Hand and My Might; And they shall know that My Name is YHVH.”  Jeremiah 16:21

The Creator of the Universe declared His Name is YHVH forevermore/eternally.  The deceived people/nations, (Goy #1471) will know His Name is YHVH.

Thee original Hebrew clearly states our Creator’s Name is YHVH, 6,830 times.  Why do translators write “LORD” in its place?

The next time you study your Bible and see, “the LORD,” you can google the original Hebrew and find “YHVH.”  Every time the New Testament quotes the original Hebrew you will know when, “Lord,” is “YHVH.”

Y’hoshua Means YHVH’s Salvation

“Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me.  And I have made Your Name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the Love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:26

Y’hoshua, (Y’shua for short, AKA, Jesus), is clearly The Living One, The First and the Last, The Aleph and the Tav; Revelation 1:18Revelation 2:8; Isaiah 44:6; Revelation 22:13.

Y’shua is The Creator of The Universe

YHVH is the Creator of the Universe, by His Word, (Y’shua), everything exists, Genesis 1:1Proverbs 8:23John 1:2; John 1:3Colossians 1:16…

His Word, like His Name is Eternal, Psalm 119:89Isaiah 40:81 Peter 1:25

The World’s Religions have Inherited Lies

“…Our fathers have inherited nothing but deception, futility and things of no benefit…” Jeremiah 16:19

His Word Is, Was and Forever Will Be, The Way to Life

“By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments.” 1 John 2:3
