The Ambiguous Meaning of Salvation

If you live in the Western world you’ve probably been asked religious questions like, “are you saved?” and “when did you receive your salvation?”  These questions were like grains of irritation to me.  Like grains of sand that had made their way into the meat of an oyster shell, they can eventually become our most beautiful pearls.

It was my lack of understanding that kept me silently frustrated when I heard the phrase, “I’m saved.”  It just didn’t set right that salvation could sound like a box we’d checked off after our first confession, when we said,  “I believe and accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior,” before getting baptized.saved

Although I Understand These Are The Biblical Answers to The Question;

“What Must I Do To Be Saved?

Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:31

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:16

“if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  Romans 10:9

Salvation Revealed In The Original Hebrew Scriptures

Thanks to the impartial promise of our Creator’s Word, those who seek Him do find Him, Deuteronomy 4:29;   Matthew 7:7.   And these days He even guides us in the search engines of Google.  The day I discovered the Hebrew Lexicon at Biblehub.com, I knew it was an answer to my prayer for greater understanding.

For instance, it helped me realize how word choices, culture and religious bias have their influence on translation.

When there are several English word equivalents, used interchangeably for the same Hebrew word, readers lose their cues to connect that word or phrase in other passages.

All translation require conjecture in order to convey meaning, especially when an ancient expression doesn’t exist or carry over into another language.

Translating means changing, no matter how closely one is able to transfer a meaning and modify word syntax into the readable form of another language.

Today everyone has access to the Hebrew lexicon.  Anyone, who has the desire to know and understand the original Hebrew Scriptures, can begin prayerfully meditating on their Word meanings and making the Spiritual connections that evade translation, Romans 7:14.

YHVH’s (He Exists) is Salvation

The Hebrew word translated into English as Salvation is Yeshuah.  It comes from the root Yasha, the same root in the name Yehoshua, (Jesus) which means, YHVH + Yasha, He Exists is Salvation.

Matthew 1:21

Matthew 1:21

Yasha and its different forms can be translated:  Deliverance, Victory, to Avenge, Preservation, Prosperity, Help, Rescue, Safety, Security, to Save, Salvation…

Salvation Always Was “The Good News”

“May Your Merciful Loving Kindnesses, (Chesed #2617a from Chasad) also come to me, YHVH,(He Exists) Your Salvation, (Teshuah #8668 from Yasha) according to Your Word, (Imrah #559 from Amar).  Psalm 119:41

“How lovely on the mountains Are the feet of him who brings Good News, Who announces peace And brings Good News of happiness, Who announces Salvation, And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7Romans 10:15

The Spirit of The Lord YHVH, (HeExists) is upon me, Because YHVH has anointed me To bring good news to the humble/afflicted, (anav #6035); He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty/release, (deror #1865) to captives And freedom to prisoners; Isaiah 61:1

Y’shua, the shortened form of Y’hoshua, explained all that was written about Himself in the Scriptures.  The Scriptures He was referring to were called Moses, (Torah) the Prophets and Writings.  In Hebrew these words form the acronym T.N.K, pronounced, TaNaK.   Today we call The Scriptures, The “Old” Testament.

“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all The Scriptures (The Tanak) about Himself.” Luke 24:27

Promised From The Beginning

“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise/overwhelm, (shuph #7779) you on the head, And you shall bruise/overwhelm him on the heel.” Genesis 3:15

Looking at Genesis 3:15 with ancient Hebrew symbolism we see more than the curse or the fate that will come to the serpent, (representing satan, YHVH’s adversary).  This is a prophecy, a promise of what will happen, spoken to the serpent and his seed or offspring, meaning all who are adversary’s of YHVH.

Notice the words, “you,” and “your” are addressing the serpent, (satan).  Their will be enmity, (ebah #342) between your seed, (satan) and the woman and her Seed, (children of YHVH).

“And the dragon, (serpent) was enraged at the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony, (word) of Jesus, (Salvation)” Revelation 12:17

The Victory Stance!

The Seed of the woman will,  “overwhelm the head of the serpent.” Can you envision this ancient Hebrew idiom of a triumphant king, victoriously standing with his foot on the head of His enemy?

“The God of Peace will soon crush satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.” Romans 16:20

This symbolism of Victory even carries over into Greek and English!

“YHVH your God is in your midst, A Victorious/Savior, (Yasha #3467) warrior/prevailer, (gibbor #1368).  He will exult over you with joy, He will be silent/rest in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.” Zephaniah 3:17

Victory Over Satan Is Salvation

Adam and Eve, Cain and Able, Noah, Abraham, Moses and King David, to name a few, all died believing in their Salvation, the promise of the Victorious Seed.

All these people died in faith, without having received the things they were promised.” Hebrews 11:13

Today we can look back on all the Scriptural prophecies of the promised Seed who would bless All peoples of the earth, Genesis 22:18 and know that Seed is Y’hoshua, (YHVH’s Salvation).

“You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess eternal life. These are the very words that testify about Me,” John 5:39

Y’hoshua is the Word, John 1:1.  The Word became flesh and dwelt with us, John 1:14.  He overcame every test of satan, victoriously conquering death, He purposely resurrected to lasting Life on the third day of First-Fruits, assuring us the rest of the harvest would also be blessed.  (See The Promise of The Seed Who Would Bless All Nations/People).

Victory over satan, (also known as our evil inclination) has been the true meaning of salvation/release/freedom/victory since Cain was warned that it would master him if he didn’t master it, Genesis 4:7

“Do not be like Cain, who belonged to, (mastered by) the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his own deeds were evil, while those of his brother were righteous.” 1 John 3:12.

All people have been separated from the Spirit of their Creator by their iniquitiesRomans 3:23, and All people are in need of Salvation/Life, because Death is separation.

“But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.”  Isaiah 59:2.

He Brings Salvation At His Second Coming

“so also Christ, (Messiah) was offered once to bear the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him.” Hebrews 9:28

Dead People Can’t Eat From The Tree Of Life

YHVH, in His Mercy, made sure Adam and Eve did not eat from the Tree of Life in their fallen state and live in death forever.

Then YHVH God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever…” Genesis 3:22,23.

God’s Merciful Compassion makes us alive, (born again) through/in Christ/Messiah, even when we were dead, (separated) in our trespasses/iniquities/sin.  It is by grace/His favor you have been saved, (from sin and death)! Ephesians 2:5; Colossians 2:13; Ephesians 5:14Isaiah 26:19

Righteousness Is The Beautiful Pearl of Salvation

Whether we understand or not, mankind’s freedom from death, (sin) equals New Spiritual Life/Righteousness.  An ancient Hebrew illustration for “New Life,” is a “Clean Robe,”  Our outer covering represent “our actions.”  This is revealed in the following verse:

She, (The Bride) was given clothing of fine linen,” linen bright and pure. For the fine linen she wears is the righteous acts of the saints/the set apart/holy. Revelation 19:8.

Before our “New Life,” (when we were dead in our sin) and even our righteous actions were like, “Filthy Rags,” Isaiah 64:6;  Zechariah 3:3.

Righteous acts, is the Hebrew word, Tzedakah #6666.  This is the hidden pearl that has always been, still is and will be, The only Way to Lasting Life

“In the Way of Righteousness, (Tzedakah) is Life, And in its pathway there is no death.” Proverbs 12:28

“Blessed are those who wash their robes, (the victorious) so that they may have the right to the Tree of Life and may enter the city by its gates.” Revelation 22:14

“To the one who is Victorious, (those who acted right) I will grant the right to eat of the Tree of Life in the paradise of God.”  Revelation 2:7

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the Victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! (YHVH our Salvation, the Messiah!) 1 Corinthians 15:57

To Be Clothed in His Righteousness Is Life

So now when I hear someone say, “I’m saved,”  I understand why today’s religious lingo has never been a pre-requisite for Salvation.  People have been dying with their hope in the Creator’s promise since the beginning, long before our language and religious divisions.

We know, “God is One.”  There is no division in His Spirit.  Those who bear the glory of “His Name,” are called His children.  His children are those who walk in Freedom from their bondage to sin and death.  His Torah has always been The Way to Truth and Life.

Y’hoshua revealed, He is The Way, The Truth and The Life, John 14:6,  and He gave All peoples very clear instructions to, “follow Him,” John 12:26.

“Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus, (Y’shua) walked.  Beloved, I am not writing you a new commandment, but an old one, which you have had from the beginning.” 1 John 2:6.

“This is the message you have heard from the beginning:  We should love one another. 1 John 3:11

We know that we have passed from death to Life, because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.” 1 John 3:14

The Way of Life Is Righteousness, Which Is Summed Up As Love

Righteousness is Who He Is, it is our Creator’s Character and it describes the Attributes of those who walk in the way that leads to Life.  Man is able to come up with countless definitions for righteousness but Y’shua summed it up simply by quoting these two commands from Torah:

“‘Love YHVH your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.’ Deuteronomy 6:4,5.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  Leviticus 19:18.  All the Torah and the Prophets depend/hang on these two commandments.”… Matthew 22:37; Matthew 22:40

“The commandments “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and any other commandments, are summed up in this one decree: “Love your neighbor (one another) as yourself.” Love does no wrong to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law, (Torah) Romans 13:10; Leviticus 19:18

Those who are not clothed in the Righteousness of our Creator’s Love do not have Life.

“keep yourselves in the Love, (Righteousness), of God as you await the Mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, (YHVH’s Salvation, the Messiah) to bring you eternal LifeJude 1:21

Parable of The Mustard Seed

Jesus put before them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man planted in his field.  Although it is one of the least of all seeds, yet it grows into the largest of herb plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and dwell in its branches.” Matthew 13:31

The Mustard Seed is The Third Kingdom Parable found in Matthew 13

Jesus, Y’shua, interjects this parable, (a physical example revealing a Spiritual reality) right between the parable of The Wheat and The Weeds and it’s explanation.

Unlike the first two parables, there are no more explanations.  All we know for sure are the facts disclosing another unseen or spiritual mystery of the Kingdom.

The Kingdom is like…

Our first detail is a tiny mustard seed:  Based on the other two explanations we knot the seed represents the The Word, The Message of the Kingdom and The Sons of the Kingdom.

The man sowing the seed:  Is the Son of Adam, a phrase referring to Y’shua.

His field:  Is the earth.

The Birds of the sky/air dwell in it’s branches:  In the previous Parable of the Sower, the birds represent satan snatching away the Truth.  These verses referring to birds also confirm this view: Revelation 18:2; Daniel 4:21; Isaiah 13:21.

Interestingly, the birds in this parable find protection, shelter and nourishment from the Mustard tree, similar the birds dwelling in the Cedar, Psalm 104:17.

The same parable of the birds dwelling in the Cedar is found here:  Ezekiel 17:23Ezekiel 31:6.

In the book of Daniel the parable of the great tree is interpreted as representing King Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylonian Empire,  Daniel 4:22.  The birds dwelling in it’s branches were neither good nor bad.  The point was their habitation, to the end of the known earth, was under his dominion.

It is the Growth of the Mustard Seed that seems to be significant in this parable.  This tiny seed grows like a weed, gardeners know not to plant it in their gardens because it cannot be contained and would eventually take over the entire garden.

This extraordinary, inevitable and fruitful growth is what the Kingdom is like.

The birds, in this parable, dwell or nest in its branches.  mustard-tree

Why Our Creator’s Set Apart Days are for All His People.

These are His Days,  Leviticus 23:2…the 10th day of the 7th Month is The Day of Atonement, Leviticus 23:27

Atonement, comes from the Hebrew root word, Kopher, (#3724).  Yom Kippur (#3725) means Day of Atonement, and from the same root word, Kapporeth (#3727) meaning, the Mercy Seat, the cover on the Ark of the Covenant or Testimony.

The Connection Between Covering, Atonement and Mercy Seat

Why is it a man’s glory (honor, strength and power) to cover an offense? Proverbs 19:11James 1:20Ephesians 4:26Matthew 5:22.

Because His faithful, (Loyal Obedience), people give mercy just as it is given to them, 2 Corinthians 5:7James 2:13Proverbs 11:17Matthew 6:12Matthew 6:15Matthew 18:33

The Mercy Seat

“He shall put the incense on the fire before YHVH, that the cloud of incense may cover (#3680 Kasah) the mercy seat (#3727) that is on the ark of the testimony, otherwise he will die.” Leviticus 16:13

As the Waters Covered YHVH’s Adversaries (Pharaoh and his army) His Set Apart people were Free.

“To Cover,” The waters returned and covered  (#3680 Kasah) the chariots and the horsemen, even Pharaoh’s entire army that had gone into the sea after them; not even one of them remained.” Exodus 14:28Exodus 15:10 Psalm 78:53Psalm 104:6 Psalm 106:11.

A picture showing YHVH’s deliverance then, now and on the fruition of the Day of Atonement. His set apart people are to live Spiritually Free from the Adversary (Satan) during their Temporary stay on earth, foreshadowing the Life to come, by walking as He walked, 1 John 2:6, in the Perfect Law (Torah) of Freedom, James 1:25.

for it is written: “Be holy, (set apart, dedicated) because I am holy.” Since you call on a Father who judges each man’s work (actions) impartially, live your lives in reverent fear during your temporary stay on earth.  1 Peter 1:16Leviticus 20:7

Hebrew Words Describing Our Merciful Creator

Channun; Gracious; Racham: Merciful, Compassionate; Chesed:  Loyal Steadfast Love, Loving Kindness Chasad:  Mercy; Chen: Favor, Grace; (from Chanan) Arak: Slow to Anger. Exodus 34:6Joel 2:13Psalm 86:5Psalm 103:8Numbers 14:18; Nehemiah 9:17Psalm 145:8Jonah 4:2.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” Matthew 5:7

Each person receives according to their actions, Matthew 16:27Romans 2:61 Samuel 2:3Job 34:11Proverbs 12:14Proverbs 24:12Matthew 18:35.

A Day of Mercy

Our Creator’s Day of Atonement has been appointed since Creation, Genesis 22:7Revelation 13:8Romans 1:20.  His Seven Sacred Days are appointments, like dress rehearsals, written beforehand so His people will know and the faithful will be prepared, Matthew 25:10Revelation 19:7.

The Day of Atonement is a day of Humbling, and turning from, our natural inclination to do bad.  His set apart people do not have the luxury of holding grudges or ignoring idol words of gossip and slander .We’ve had the past ten days to make right our wrongs.

It’s the only required day of Fasting, Leviticus 16:29Numbers 29:7Isaiah 58:5Acts 27:9.

Redemption is Different Than Atonement

Because our iniquities (guilt of sin) have separated between us from our Creator, Isaiah 59:2

Jesus, Y’shua has already fulfilled the four Spring Feasts of YHVH’s Seven Sacred Days.  He is The Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world on the Day of Passover,  John 1:29. He is the (sinless) Unleavened Bread, John 6:48 . The is the First-fruit offering, the First born from the dead, Revelation 1:5.  His Spirit of Life was given to the faithful, (loyal and obedient) 50 days or 7 weeks after Passover.

We Are Redeemed

Y’shua redeemed His people from the “guilt from sin,” which is the cause of the curse of death, Deuteronomy 30:19  Y’shua became the curse, Galatians 3:13.  His ultimate redemption of All people was foretold by YHVH’s promise given to Adam, Genesis 3:15, Abraham, Genesis 22:18, Isaac, Genesis 26:4, and Jacob/Israel, Genesis 28:14.

Y’shua is the fulfillment of the Seed through whom all peoples would be blessed, Galatians 3:8

“He redeemed us so that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to all peoples in Christ Jesus, so that by faith (loyal obedience) we might receive the promise of His Spirit”.Galatians 3:13

The Fulfillment of The Day of Atonement is in The Fall

“Be patient while awaiting our Lord’s coming, as a farmer anticipates the precious fruit of the ground, waiting patiently for the early and late rains,” James 5:7

Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur

Cleansing Our Temple

But Jesus was speaking about the temple of His body. John 2:21

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God?  1 Corinthians 6:19

Tonight at sundown begins the 10th day of the 7th lunar month.  Those who are in loyal obedience (faith) to the Everlasting Word of YHVH, Psalm 119:160, Y’shua in the flesh, John 1:14, will not do their own work this day but humble themselves, fasting and praying, seeking His Presence, asking for The Word of Truth to sanctify (purify), John 17:17 His people. Then His people will turn from doing bad, and He will hear from heaven and forgive their sins, making whole, restoring, (#7495 rapha) their land, (#776 earth). Amen

Day of Trumpets

This is the Fifth of the Seven Sacred days, set in the sky by our Creator.

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years…”  Genesis 1:14

The 1st Day of the 7th Lunar Month is a Day to make a Loud Noise.

The Creator of the Universe revealed specific instructions to Moses.   We usually refer to these writings as the first five books of the Bible.  In Hebrew they are called Torah, meaning teachings or instructions that direct us in the Way of Truth and Life.

Jesus, Y’shua referred to Himself as The Torah when He said He was the Way, Truth and Life.  He also explained the Scriptures testify about Him, John 1:14;  John 5:39;  John 14:6;  Luke 24:27.

(See Who is Israel for more on The Scriptures Foreshadowing Y’shua)

The Instructions to Set Apart the First Day, (beginning at sundown), of the Seventh Lunar Month.

Again YHVH spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing horns, a holy convocation. 25 ‘You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to YHVH.” Leviticus 23:24-25

Only weeks away from the first of the three fall feasts, and most God-fearing people have not seen nor heard the bigger picture of Salvation or Deliverance from our oppression of sin and death.

The Bigger Picture

Foreshadowed by the Instructions (Torah), given to Moses and the Prophets, is the release from oppression.  Israel’s physical slavery in Egypt was a shadow of mankind’s Spiritual oppression to satan.  (Satan, meaning adversary and accuser, is created just as darkness exists because of the absence of light).

A Jewish Day or YHVH’s Day?

These are the appointed times of YHVH, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at the times appointed for them.” Leviticus 23:4

mixed multitude was delivered from Egypt. Exodus 12:38.  It was comprised of God-fearing Egyptians, sojourners, and any foreigner who joined them, keeping the instructions of YHVH, just as it is now, Ephesians 2:19.  (Eventually the Northern tribe of Judah became synonymous for all Israel. Now Jewish, Israel and Hebrew are used interchangeably.)

The Physical Foreshadowing of the Spiritual

Jesus, Y’shua, (His full Name meaning YHVH’s deliverance), can be found throughout the TaNaK, (a Hebrew acronym for Torah, Prophets, Nevi’im and Writings, Ketuvim).

Removing the separation between an Old and New Testament, we see first century Prophets and Writings were checked to the TaNaK to see if their words were True or False,  Acts 17:11.

Everything Y’shua did was prophesied before it was fulfilled.  He knew He would lay down His temporary life on the Sacred Day of Passover as the Lamb of YHVH.  He knew He would rise to resurrected Life on the, pre-appointed, Third sacred Day of First Fruits.

This is our hope, we also know if we keep His Teachings (Torah), we are apart of His resurrected Body,  1 John 2:6.  He explained this Spiritual Unity as being One with His Father, John 10:30Deuteronomy 6:4.

We are also One in the only Assembly the entire Bible refers to, first the physical then the Spiritual, John 14:20John 14:21.

Were YHVH’s Instructions (Torah) Abolished on The Cross?

Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law (Torah) until everything is accomplished”..., Matthew 5:18

Y’shua and every first century believer, kept YHVH’s Sacred Days because they knew they were YHVH’s appointments, Acts 2:1 Acts 12:3Acts 12:4;  Acts 18:21Acts 20:6Acts 20:16Acts 27:91 Corinthians 5:81 Corinthians 16:8.

When something Awesome happens it will happen on one of YHVH’s appointments, the Seven Sacred Days.  Just as the four Spring feasts have been fulfilled, so will the three fall feasts.

No one knows when these rehearsals will be fulfilled but His People know to be ready!

O clap your hands, all peoples;
Shout to God with the voice of joy.” Psalm 47:1

Shout joyfully to God, all the earth” Psalm 66:1

Sing for joy to God our strength” Psalm 66:2

“Shout aloud to the God of Jacob!” Psalm 81:1

“Shout for joy to YHVH, all the earth.” Psalm 100:1

Prayer and Giving That is Heard and Remembered by God.

God does not show favoritism but welcomes All People who revere Him and do what is right, Acts 10:34.

All People means, you, your enemy, and those other religious people you disagree with.

The book of Acts chapter 10 is a short story of the True Character of God.

Cornelius was a 1st century Roman Centurion, a hated enemy of the Jewish people, yet he knew of God’s Mercy and Compassion.

He gave generously to the needy, showing mercy and compassion, and prayed at the regular prayer times.  It was during his 3:PM prayer time, an angel appeared to him in a vision to tell him his prayer had been heard and his giving remembered.

The angel then gave Cornelius instructions on how to find a man named Peter.

This is the same Peter who had known Y’shua personally.  He had been given instructions to preach and to testify that “Y’shua is the One appointed by God to judge the living and the dead.  All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His Name.” (His Name also meaning His Character).

But there was a problem, Peter was born and raised Jewish.  He had never entered a non-Jewish home because they were considered unclean/common.

Peter’s Vision, Acts 9-16

It was noon and Peter was hungry when he went to the rooftop to pray.  He fell into a trance and saw a vision of unclean animals being offered to him to eat.  Peter obediently refuses, three times, before the sheet is taken away.  Confused about the meaning, he hears a voice say, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

Just then, Cornelius’ men find Peter’s house and Peter hears, “…there are three men looking for you, go with them without hesitation, I have sent them.” Acts 10:20

Peter obeys and Cornelius explains:

Four days ago, I was in my house praying at this same time, 3:PM.  Suddenly a man in radiant clothing stood before me and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your giving toward the poor, is remembered before God. Therefore send to Joppa for Simon, who is called Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, by the sea.  So I sent for you immediately, and you were kind enough to come.  Now then, we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything He has instructed you to tell us.”

Then Peter understands his vision:

Peter says,  “I now truly understand that God does not show favoritism, but welcomes those from every nation who fear Him and do what is right…” Acts 10:35

So we pray and Give, without condemning ourselves or others.  Riding ourselves of man-made prejudices that don’t match up to our Creators Name that He has revealed to us all as; Merciful, Compassionate and Impartial.

The Tree of Death

In the beginning there was one instruction, (Torah).  One tree of every kind of tree in the garden was prohibited to Adam, because it’s fruit (the knowledge of good and bad) caused death, Genesis 2:17.

Was this defiant act of free will a surprise to the One who made the man?  The One who declares the end from the beginning? Isaiah 46:10

The Tree of Life

“Then YHVH God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and bad; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever– Genesis 3:22

The cure for death existed in the same garden from the beginning?  But it was never the plan for Adam to eat from the Tree of Life and live in his fallen state forever.  It was never intended for any of us to live in our current state of Spiritual separation, or death, forever.

Only The Victorious

It is only the victorious will be granted the right to eat from the Tree of Life and live forever.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will grant the right to eat of the tree of life….”  Revelation 2:7

Through one man, Adam, all died.Romans 5:12  Through one man, Y’shua, all live.  Romans 5:17.

Y’shua was the promised Seed of the Woman.  The One who would crush the head of the serpent, (an idiom meaning to have victory over the adversary)!  Genesis 3:15Revelation 1:18.

And the serpent (the adversary) was enraged at the woman, (the assembly/the bride) and went to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of YHVH and hold to the testimony of Y’shua...” Revelation 12:17

Whoever claims to Live in Him (the Victorious) must walk as He (Y’shua) walked.” 1 John 2:6

The Good News is, Death is Temporary for those called Victorious.

The Bad News is, there’s a Repeat Death;

“Those who are granted the right to eat from the Tree of Life, will not be harmed by the second death,” (which is called the Lake of Fire). Revelation 2:11Revelation 20:14.

The Profound Mystery of One

Ephesians 5:31
“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”

Ephesians 5:32
“This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Messiah and the church, (His Bride).”

Genesis 2:24
“For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.” Y’shua  (Jesus) quotes this verse in Matthew 19:5.

Marriage is the Imagery used to describe the True meaning of One.

YHVH (The LORD) is One, the original Hebrew word for One is Echad, Deuteronomy 6:4

The Promised Seed of Abraham is Echad, singular, not plural, Galatians 3:16

The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his Seed. The Scripture does not say, “and to seeds,” meaning many, but “and to your seed,” meaning One, who is Messiah.”

Genesis 22:18  YHVH’s promise to Abraham:
“In your Seed all the nations/peoples of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

There is One God, One promised Seed, and a marriage Covenant that makes those in the Covenant One, (Echad) again, like it was in the beginning, Romans 5:12

All peoples of the earth are called to make themselves ready for the marriage feast of the Lamb, (Y’shua, the Lamb of YHVH), Revelation 19:7Revelation 19:9John 1:29.
